Updating Plugin Version

Upgrading Admix SDK 1.9.3.8 or lower to SDK2.0 or later

  1. Remove the previous Admix version folder from the Unity Asset folder. Delete Admix folder All placements will be pink after the removal of the Admix folder. Pink banners

  2. Import the new Admix package into your project. Import package

  3. Login into the newly imported Admix plugin. Admix login

  4. Find and choose your project in the list of projects, by clicking on the ‘Select’ button: Admix List of Projects
    Admix Select project

  5. Once the project is chosen, go to the Admix menu. It has two options to upgrade the scenes: Upgrade scenes button

  • Upgrade all scenes will scan all scenes in your project that have Admix placements and update all of them to work with the new plugin.
  • Upgrade scenes from the build list can be used if you need to update only the scenes that are active in the Build Settings list.

Once the upgrade is done, having the AdmixManager gameObject in the hierarchy of the scene is not mandatory anymore. After the upgrade, it should be empty:
    Empty Admix manaer
  1. After the upgrade, Save the Scene and click on Save placements. Save placements will be processed for the scenes that are added into the build settings and to the active one: Save placements button
Once Save placements is done, Admix banners should have IDs filled: Save placements button
Please note, Dynamic placements won't be assigned IDs in the same way as Static Banners are. That's okay though as dynamic banners don't need static IDs, so most fields are empty intentionally.
IF YOUR APP IS ALREADY IN LIVE MODE
Live apps cannot be edited, so you will need to create a Sandbox version of this app to continue. Admix will show a pop-up - ‘New app version required’.
    New app version equired

Pick a version number to remember which live app it matches with. We recommend to follow the version number of the .apk you will upload to Google Play, for example 2.0.5, but you pick put any identifier you like.

  • This new Sandbox version will appear on the new Admix developer platform under the targeted project. All changes will only affect this version, not the Live app. You’ll be able to test sandbox ads within the editor. New dev platform
  • Once the newly created version is ready to be published, just change its status to ‘Live’. Switch to Live
  • All previous Live versions will be kept Live by default, so users who do not update your app with the new Admix plugin will continue using the version with the old plugin. You can see reporting broken down by version from the Reports tab.
  1. Once save placements is procedure is done all your placements are added into the New Developer platform and tied to your project: check all placements on the dev platform
