The SANDBOX mode allows you to test the rendering of ads in your environment while you are still setting up your placements.
If your app is already published to the App Store you'll be prompted to create a new Sandbox version from the Admix plugin. Please refer to this article for more information.
Apps can be switched to the Sandbox:
From the app list page:
From the app setup page for the specific app version:
- Admix is active in the app
- Admix is sending calls to our Sandbox server
- Your app is displaying 'fake' ads
- Your app is not generating revenue
Use SANDBOX mode to:
- See how the ads appear in your app in Unity Play Mode, or even in a build
- Test interactivity of the ad (click, gaze)
It takes up to 10 minutes for the placements to be activated after they are set in Sandbox mode for the first time. This applies to both cases when you are setting the app up in Sandbox mode for the first time and when you add new placements to the app with already working placements.
Setup in editor
SANDBOX ads are easily recognizable as they will always be Admix related ads.
Single instance SANDBOX
From the Unity editor, you can force SANDBOX state on a single app instance without affecting your LIVE app in the Store.
This is useful if you want to preview changes in a local version of an app currently in LIVE mode as you can test your changes without interrupting your app revenue.
If your app is in Live mode, you can create a new Sandbox version from the Admix plugin by adding any new placement to a scene of your game.
When you are ready to publish your app in the App Store and generate revenue, switch to LIVE mode.
Remember: in SANDBOX mode, 'fake' ads are displayed to your users for preview only, and you are not generating revenue.
